Viltrox EPIC 1.33× FF

5 anamorphic primes 25 – 100mm T2.0 PL

The only 1.33× anamorphic set that covers full frame.

The Viltrox EPIC series gives a 2.35:1 aspect ratio from standard 16:9 sensors: no open gate, no 4:3 mode required. Optically clean and controlled: low distortion, near-zero breathing, minimal chromatic aberration, retro-leaning colour with pleasant skin. Signature blue anamorphic streak flares present but never overwhelming. Constant T2.0 across all five lenses, consistent gears, matched core trio at 1.98kg. Impressively affordable for true anamorphic glass.

Talking points

Why DPs pick this set

  1. The only 1.33× anamorphic set covering full frame: works on any 16:9 sensor

  2. Near-zero focus breathing.

Focus pulls are rock-solid with virtually no framing shift

  3. Core trio (35/50/75mm) matched at 1.98kg with identical gear positions.

    25mm 2.02kg; 100mm 2.7kg

  4. At under $4K per lens, these are a fraction of the cost of Hawk V-Lite or SLR Magic 1.33× alternatives
