One of the widest full-frame cine primes ever made: a 130°+ field of view with minimal distortion.

Created by TLS as a custom hybrid: combining optics from a Canon 14mm f/2.8 and an Angénieux wide-angle adapter to achieve the 10mm focal length. Sharp edge-to-edge with minimal chromatic aberration, smooth tonal transitions, and the warm, mellow contrast characteristic of Canon FD glass. Focus breathing is nearly zero thanks to an internal rear-focus design. Beside it, the 18mm T1.6 on the same 143mm front.

  1. Origin

    Introduced by TLS in 2023 as a bespoke addition to their Canon FD lineup, a one-of-a-kind custom build solving a focal length Canon never made. Only a handful exist. The FD-X 10mm demonstrates TLS’s approach to completing vintage sets with missing focal lengths: take vintage components and fabricate the link the era couldn’t.
